Brent
Howdy, I'm trying to locate a photo. It is lost to the internet now... I'm looking for images of the Vulcan nose cone being trailered to its current display location. The goal is to have images of the nose cone on the trailer. Any help? Thank you, Brent
bzn20
Try Vulcan to the sky website or google image search. Might come up if pictures of it exists or 558's FB page etc.
stever219
Which Vulcan are you referring to, and/or where is its current location? Several Vulcan front fuselages have been preserved at various locations, e.g. XA903, XM602, XH563. XA893(?) is preserved (sectioned) at Cosford as a walk-through exhibit IIRR. XV107
As you've probably found out while searching, there are a few photos which match that generic description - http://www.avrovulcan.org.uk/misc/563_bthorpe.htm http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?88159-Bruntingthorpe-departures http://www.2av8.co.uk/pages/xa903/xa903r.htm So a clue to the ID of the Vulcan would help narrow things down a little, as Stever says.

Simon
XA903. What is the external plumbing for? IFR trials? It's in connection with the Olympus 593 trials: http://www.2av8.co.uk/pages/xa903/xa903c.htm "One of the key functions of the test flights was to gather data from the engine for later analysis. As a result, a vast amount of sensors were fitted to the engine to allow the signals to be monitored and recorded for later analysis. In order to get the signals back into the cockpit and cabin, which was a pressurised section, an external wiring loom was fitted down the port side of the aircraft, allowing the signals to enter the radome for processing and presentation to the cabin area through the front pressure bulkhead.
