Cockpit: The level of detail out of the box is actually rather good. The kit provides decals for the instrument panels and imo they're pretty good for being out of the box; better than having no decals. Primed with Tamiya XF-80 IMG_20151219_174925884_zpsw3n9xv53.jpg

Unfortunately, the new airbrush kit I bought has an awful airbrush; It cannot do fine lines, tends to 'spit' a lot, and seems to function like a single action airbrush rather than dual action which is what it is supposed to be. So I had to abandon the pre-shading technique as I found that it was splattering black paint all over the model. IMG_20151219_191007428_zpslscv1ek7.jpgIMG_20151219_192453461_zpsqmxyxd05.jpg

Here it is as of today. It had 2 coats of Tamiya XF-19 sky grey and had two coats of Humbrol clear for decals and washes. IMG_20151220_112620076_zpsgatojtfh.jpg
