Moulded in the kind of very dark green flexible plastic that is familiar to many of Revell's small scale figures, this set contains a total of 39 modern German paratroop figures spread across two sprues. You get fifteen or so different poses, ranging from squatting or prone figures firing their weapons to machine gun and mortar crews. You even get a couple of figures gathering up their parachutes following a landing.

Although fairly well-detailed, many of the figures have a fair amount of flash here and there that will need to be cleaned up. This is slightly surprising, as the moulds date back to 2000, but it may be down to the plastic used. Although the detail and finish is not on a par with some of the state of the art injection moulded figures from the likes of Dragon, they are pretty decent and details such as the folds in clothing are nicely represented. Painting them may be tricky due to the flexible plastic used, but no doubt there are products out there that could do the job.

Conclusion

While these might not represent the pinnacle of the model makers art, they are good enough to pass muster in a small-scale diorama featuring some of Revell's modern NATO vehicles. Worth a look if this is your thing.
