Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

Today has been focussed on bringing together all the little bits of this build, and first up was sorting out the sit of the sliding portion of the canopy, as this was sitting way too high without modification.

I checked the sit of the canopy against photos of the real thing, and very carefully filed an elongated notch in which the canopy would sit. This is the rear canopy sans masking.

And here it is glued in position.

How Hobbyboss thought they could get away without any detail on the front and rear coamings I don't know, and I'm rather pleased with how these areas came out.

In this shot you can see the aerial mast, which like most of this kit needed fettling before it would fit properly.

The wheels on the Mig go round and round, round and round, well not quite, as the mains are fixed....

....however the front one does as its mounted on a brass tube axle, which you just make out in this shot.

And talking of brass tube, I used some more to create the cannon barrels for the two 23mm, and one 37mm cannon. These got a base coat of Tamiya Rubber Black before they were cut and CA'd into place.

These need touching in, which I'll do later.

I'm just fitting the last of the PE components from the Eduard Zoom set, and then it's time to paint the wing tip position lights in, and we're done.

Here she is finished!

Not my best build, but I've learned a lot with this build, mainly about perseverance, using CA as a filler, and re-scribing!

I'll post some more pics in the gallery.
