Victorlas
What about color schemes for Canadair CE-144/CC-144/CL600S Challenger 1/144? I want to paint the decals now.
Flyboy72nd
Well for the CE-144 it is grey over grey IIRC, since this was the EW training version flown by 414 Sqn - RCAF. The CC-144 was the VIP Transport version flown by the RCAF (412 Sqn), and you have them in the white scheme with red/white lightning bolt or the dark blue scheme like in the 72nd kit. A CL600S is a factory bird, I assume, painted as per customer requests, so the sky's the limit, pun intended!?! HTH
Jessica
Do you have Pat Martin's books on RCAF colour schemes? They're worth every penny The CC-144s were in overall white with the typical RCAF lightning flash, such as this: CE-144s were first finished in a paint scheme reminiscent of the CF18 fleet: Later they were done in overall grey: You may want to talk to Bill at CanMilAir decals about using his artwork in your kits. Flyboy72nd
I sit corrected about the CL600S, it was an early model that Canadair used to test the winglets later applied to other Challengers. If you plan to do a civy bird then best to check the 'Airliners' site for a scheme that strikes your fancy. Hope you do something colourful and repeat it in 72nd........ Thanks

Flyboy72nd
I'm guessing the new engines are the AModel parts and the rest of the airframe is BPK? Would like to see sprue shots of this! I will have to get a couple of these to do some Canadian Air Force birds!!
