Julien Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 IN COMBAT PAINTING MECHAS (ENGLISH)AMMO of Mig Jimenez This is second edition (revised) from Mig Jimenez. The techniques on display are for painting and weathering the increasingly popular genre of Mechs, and it is a great complement to the paint sets already reviewed here. The techniques though can be applied to all spheres of modelling. The book is A4 softcover in format and 91 pages long, with all pages in high quality colour. The book features four different Mechs, an RX-7B-2 Mech figure from Bandai, an RX-75-4 Gun Tank from Bandai, a Zugokku (Z'Gok) Amphibious Mobile Suit from Bandai, and lastly a B-Atom-034 Chubby Hover Type Custom, again from Bandai. The text and pictures show how to paint, and mainly weather the different types of Mechs. Some time a little heavily in the eyes of this reviewer but weathering is subjective and the modeller can add as much or as little as they like, as the techniques still hold good. The last 18 ages of the book features some pictures of different Mechs to give the modeller some ideas and inspiration of what can be achieved. Highly recommended for the anyone wanting to take their Mech modelling further. Review sample courtesy of 1
