A year of playing catch-up (AKA a personal KUTA GB) and a winner!

I started the year with many half built kits that had been started while I was Offshore and were in the queue for the paintshop. I decided that I had to get as many of these shelf huggers finished as I could before starting anything new so it's been a year of painting and finishing and consequently I've completed quite a few with hopefully a couple more to follow before Hogmanay.

Ditto on the airbrushing comment, these look fantastic.

Scrolling through did remind me of that scene from Father Ted where he visits the priest with all the war memorabilia (terrible quality link :) )

I know the episode you are referring to Alan, Father Ted was a firm favourite of mine. I'm not in the same league as the pair in that cellar and can only state that my tastes in modelling WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft are due to the abundance of interesting colour schemes to test my airbrushing skills and for no other reason. Spitfires are very nice but once you've painted Dark Earth/Dark Green or Dark Green/Dark Grey where do you go from there?

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments.

Britmodeller is richer with your not hanging around in Norway I'll say.

Very nicely done all, and I enjoy the obvious, but not over the top, weathering. Nice touch.

Cheers,

Mike

A wee update, the Bf110G4 won its 1/72 scale class and best Luftwaffe aircraft in show at the Scottish Nationals and the JV44 Fw190D9 got a Highly Commended in the same class.

To say I was surprised was an understatement but I'm happy to have won the Best Luftwaffe Aircraft award for the second time in 3 years (puts more pressure on me to keep the standard up though).
