thepureness
These are the worst decals I've ever worked with, word of warning,
thepureness
As the comment said before, terrible decals, would not settle down with decal set/sol so have to do with what I had. If you plan to build this kit, go for aftermarket decals, Caracal decals have a couple of sets worth looking at. Oh, that's lovely. Very attractive scheme. Sigh, another one for the Wishlist. Does anyone know if the ICM boxing come with UK markings? There is 3 ICM boxings of the kit Simon the 3rd and most recent has 4 RAF decal options, I held on for the Revell kit as it was a little cheaper and was hoping the decals would be better quality and ICMs, how wrong was I. On the other hand, I've sealed in all the decals and I am going to keep weathering to a minimum I think, after checking out some reference photos thanks to a few tips on this post. Masking has now been removed and it gives the kit a whole new appearance. Now my biggest issues with my kits is getting those joint seams to vanish, I can always get the wings on all my kits, but really struggle with the fuselage, any tips from anyone for future builds would be useful.
Scooby
My suggestion to get rid of the seam lines is to use a primer first. If you can see the seams after the primer is put on sand some more, you may need a filler. I like Tamiya primer as it acts as a leveling filler (at least I am of that opinion). Tamiya AS-12 Sprays great over their primer. For alcad you use their products to prime. Very nice build! Martian
This is looking very smart and I think you have taken a wise decision regarding the weathering Martin

thepureness
And she is finished. Touch of weathering around exhausts and kept the rest of her clean. Hope you like it peeps more in RFI
TGA
Well now I have to get one of these models too.... I absolutely love the style and look of this aircraft. Reminds me of the Lockheed 10 Electra, which is stunning! Great job, great finish!
gingerbob
Every time I've looked at this thread, which is quite a few times now, I've had the same reaction: "Oh, I really need to put that on the top of my "immediate attention" pile!" Right now I'm up to my elbows in F-5/T-38 kits, but... I was waiting and waiting for the masking to come off the windows! Looks wonderful. bob
