Jake Moon
Hello everyone, Here is my Dragon Heinkel He-162. Kit was a nightmare to build, but I'm pretty pleased with the result. Another disaster with the nose weight though! This time silly me glued the nose weight in with a ton of cement, and 5 minutes later the nosecone was melted! Maybe I should just stick to tail sitters
Driver66
It might have been a nightmare to build but the end result looks pretty good to me. Lots of sharp trailing edges and the small detail additions make it look very pleasing.
stevehnz
Thats a cracking job of that. The He162 is one I'm keen to have a bash at sometime soon but having regard to your trials & tribulations, I think I'll stick to my original plan of doing a Hobbyboss one. Steve. doozer1974
Great looking little Salamander - the engine detail looks very good for 1/72.

John R
Lovely job. I keep noseweights quiet with a lump of Milliput John Edited December 4, 2015 by John R
Duncan B
Nice job, I remember making one of these years ago and had a torrid time trying to fit the engine doors in the closed position (and IIRC the undercarriage was a real pain too). Denford
Lovely, though instantly recognisable as 'Dragon' by the absence of rudder trim tabs: however not too sure how to add inconspicuously! Would love to see a close-up of the engine.
Knight_Flyer
It's still turned out looking good. Don't feel too bad about the mistake. I made exactly the same with a Matchbox Mirage in my early days. Being a newbie I didn't understand how cement worked and flooded the nose cone with the usual melted outcome. You wont make the same error next time.
JOCKNEY
Evening K-F It looks great to me, as for rookie mistakes the classic is getting gluey fingerprints all over the canopy, normally resulting in an unfinished kit joining the shelf of doom ! Robin-42
All I need to do to finish mine is two more decals and I can't face it. I think it has more putty than plastic. Nice work persevering on a difficult kit. Dragon must have worked long and hard to make such a simple airframe so difficult.

Dave N
That's a very nice result- as Martin said, clean and sharp. The nose cone adds character imho..
