Big Phil
Hi, I've just finished this, my latest offering. It started out life as the standard "Martini Porsche", however, I didn't like the look of the black wheel covers that came with the kit. So I set about searching the internet for alternatives. I managed to find the correct BBS alloys you see here & also a decal set, to convert it into the number 40 car that appeared at Le Mans in 1976. This was my 1st departure from hand painting, by using a rattle-can for the main body colour. I feel that I have come through some sort of right of passage, doing the Martini decals over the wheel arches. What a pain in the ****! Thanks for looking http://

I can't remember exactly where the wheels came from, but, I seem to think they came off ebay. Another Tamiya kit uses them & they were being sold as spare parts. I hope this helps, good luck. Phil. Alan R
I am trying to restore one of these. If it comes out half as good as yours, I'll be well satisfied. Cheers, Alan.
