Tamiya 1/20 Porsche 935 "Martini"

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've just finished this, my latest offering.

It started out life as the standard "Martini Porsche", however, I didn't like the look of the black wheel covers that came with the kit. So I set about searching the internet for alternatives. I managed to find the correct BBS alloys you see here & also a decal set, to convert it into the number 40 car that appeared at Le Mans in 1976.

This was my 1st departure from hand painting, by using a rattle-can for the main body colour.

I feel that I have come through some sort of right of passage, doing the Martini decals over the wheel arches. What a pain in the ****!

Thanks for looking

Hi Big Phil

Just read you comments regarding the 1/20 Tamiya Porsche 935, I'm currently building one and love what you did with the BBS wheels.

Any chance of letting me know where you got them please.

Regards

Craig

Hi Craig, just noticed your comment. Sorry, not been on here for a while! I can't remember exactly where the wheels came from, but, I seem to think they came off ebay. Another Tamiya kit uses them & they were being sold as spare parts. I hope this helps, good luck. Phil.
