Romeo Alpha Yankee
Sounds good Ray. Will you be doing the A350 in Airbus colours or an airline? I'm going to be sanding the fuselage for the KLM tomorrow and then If everything goes to plan, I should be able to put a basecoat down. I'll try remember how to attach pictures again and get some up Build thread here

AdamLouiseModellers
She's almost complete 👌. A few more decals and she's finished. Ill be putting the landing gear on last. Overall it's been a good kit and would highly recommend it.

AdamLouiseModellers
Thank-you Johnny. She's one of the largest I've ever done but a superb kit for her size.
bbudde
Hello, of course I like it very much as a German fellow. Looks convincing. Here is a small video from 2014 arrival in Berlin: Cheers from Germany. Edited March 10, 2016 by bbudde
AdamLouiseModellers
Hello there. It's a superb kit and a superb airline. Lufthansa is my favourite airline, I'm glad they agreed to licence so many kits. I have them all apart from the A340.
bbudde
What about another one with Iron Maiden markings? Revell's new Ed force one looks very freaky. Or maybe that 757: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Astraeus/Boeing-757-23A/1308518/L/

AdamLouiseModellers
She's almost complete. Working on the landing gear now, painting the wheels is a tricky business, will be stripping the main gear today as I'm not happy with the outcome. Does anyone have any tips on painting wheels. My hands aren't exactly that steady. Cheers Adam.
bbudde
Prime or paint the whole wheels or just the hubs in their colour. Then paint the wheels first with highly thinned coal black. This is for the capillary action, when the black is floading around the hub. Let it dry. Then paint the rest of the tyre black. Eventually a small highly thinned black into th hub to highlight the details like bolts and so. Cheers
Jessica
Paint the wheel, then lay a piece of masking tape on. Using a sharp pencil, trace around the outside of the rim, first lightly then more firmly to burnish the tape down. Once that's complete, use a sharp knife to cut out the circle of tape covering the hub. Then you can paint the hub and get a nice sharp edge around it. Remember that the main hubs get very dirty from brake dust quite quickly.
AdamLouiseModellers
Will try both techniques and see which I prefer. Shouldn't be long now before she's finished and I can move onto the KLM.
