Oh yeah I bet it's hard to get hold of them. Where I am in England, there's only one shop that actually do model kits, so I'm mainly confined to the Internet.

Wow that's a fair amount 😊

I see not many Revell, I solely have Revell, I have around 12 to do. The KLM you used to do the DHL, after 6 months of searching I managed to get my hands on one.

Wow Trojan, you have plenty to keep yourself busy 😉. May I ask which 767's you have? I currently only have the KLM, that took me 6 months to find. My girlfriend is currently building the Lufthansa A380 and she's done a superb job on it.

Hi Jessica, I've had a look and you certainly have done a bunch 😂. The Austrian A340 is one of all time favourites. When I started doing airliners I started with that as I prefer to be thrown in at the deep end, I learn quicker that way. To say it was my first attempt I would it went okay, I've got another one on the go which I'll be doing with the skills I've picked up.

I have this kind of group collection in progress. The B737-800 I posted in another article is part of a German Navy set. I'm working on a similar variant of the A330 MRTT but I've stratch built a refueling probe at the rear as well. There's also two Tornados, one built and one in progress. I'm thinking of doing an A330 anti submarine variant as well but that's on the drawing board at the moment.

Hi Ray .

May I ask will you be doing it in KLM? you're extremely lucky to have the Gulfair, I've looked for over 2 years now too no avail.

No Adam, it is in work as a DHL freighter at the moment

I am also building one of my A330s as a KC-30 (MRTT)

Hi Andrew, I've voted it sounds like a great idea. Thank you, work will resume tomorrow.

Very nice Ray! Love the yellow. It should look amazing when it's completed. The MRTT, have you scratch built that? Modifications etc?

Adam,

Tail is a resin one and I shortened the the kit to a -200 from a -300

The antennas are scratch built, the boom, pods and ECM blisters are from a limited run resin set available here in Australia.

It looks fantastic Ray, mine won't turn out like that, I'm kind of going for the fictional look as in it will remain the original A330 with a scratch built refueling probe and a few random decals I have in my spares supply.

All my future kits will be done with an airbrush, in the past I've always hand painted with revell enamels, but I've switched to Vallejo Model Air now. I'm only 25 and In the past year or so did I truly get into the hobby as such. I have around 7 projects on going but they include tanks, Audi R8 which I'm helping my girlfriend on and a sortment of aircraft mainly in 1:144. I've built revells haribo set and Ryanair but they were all hand painted and not exactly that great, I'll upload pictures if anyone is interested.

Hey Ray. I've had a bit of a break from it, been focusing more on airbrushing other models. I'll be continuing with it sometime this week though, I've had it on my to do list for far too long now. I'm in the process of doing the KLM 767-300, I just have to fill and sand the fuselage seem line then I can do a little clean up then start painting. For such an old kit, the fit is superb. How's your work's coming along?
