AdamLouiseModellers
I started this about 8 months ago. I've been on and off with modelling due to financial reasons but I've now got back into it. After 5 days of airbrushing she's finally done. First 3 decals are on. techniquest
It's coming along really nicely; not often you see this one built (or being built). Looking forward to seeing it finished.
AdamLouiseModellers
Thankyou. Yeah I haven't really seen anyone else doing it, which is a shame. I should have It done by next week. I'll post some pictures when it's ready. Do you do any civil aircraft?
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Looks good Adam, I have not seen this boxing in my neck of the woods yet, though I know a coupe of after market guys do a decal for it. I have a Zvezda kit and still unsure as to the scheme I will finish it in.
AdamLouiseModellers
Thanks for support again. Where do you live? You should be able to pick it up online quite easily. It's a superb kit, almost no flash what so ever, excellent detail, a must buy. May I ask what kits you've done, well a small list as I can guess it may be quite large. AdamLouiseModellers
Oh yeah I bet it's hard to get hold of them. Where I am in England, there's only one shop that actually do model kits, so I'm mainly confined to the Internet. Wow that's a fair amount 😊 I see not many Revell, I solely have Revell, I have around 12 to do. The KLM you used to do the DHL, after 6 months of searching I managed to get my hands on one. Romeo Alpha Yankee
Revell and Airfix are the easiest to find here (when they eventually get here). I have the following to build in Revell: B737-800 (x2) B767-300 (x2) B747-400 (x2) B747-8f E-4B B747-200 (and Shuttle) Airbus A340 (x2) Airbus A350 Airbus A380 (x2) Airbus A330 Airbus A320 Airbus A319 (x2) Fokker F100 Avr o RJ85 (x2) Anyway, looking forward to seeing this one finished Adam
Jessica
Hi Adam, I'm an airliner fanatic from way back. I've done a bunch of reviews on another site if you want to see what's in the boxes. Look on the bottom half of the page.
AdamLouiseModellers
Wow Trojan, you have plenty to keep yourself busy 😉. May I ask which 767's you have? I currently only have the KLM, that took me 6 months to find. My girlfriend is currently building the Lufthansa A380 and she's done a superb job on it. Hi Jessica, I've had a look and you certainly have done a bunch 😂. The Austrian A340 is one of all time favourites. When I started doing airliners I started with that as I prefer to be thrown in at the deep end, I learn quicker that way. To say it was my first attempt I would it went okay, I've got another one on the go which I'll be doing with the skills I've picked up.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Adam, I have the KLM boxing and Gulf Air boxing (which comes with Rolls Royce and GE/Pratt engines). Ray
AdamLouiseModellers
Hi Ray 😊. May I ask will you be doing it in KLM? you're extremely lucky to have the Gulfair, I've looked for over 2 years now too no avail.
AdamLouiseModellers
I have this kind of group collection in progress. The B737-800 I posted in another article is part of a German Navy set. I'm working on a similar variant of the A330 MRTT but I've stratch built a refueling probe at the rear as well. There's also two Tornados, one built and one in progress. I'm thinking of doing an A330 anti submarine variant as well but that's on the drawing board at the moment.

AdamLouiseModellers
Hi Andrew, I've voted 😊 it sounds like a great idea. Thank you, work will resume tomorrow. Very nice Ray! Love the yellow. It should look amazing when it's completed. The MRTT, have you scratch built that? Modifications etc?

Adam, Tail is a resin one and I shortened the the kit to a -200 from a -300 The antennas are scratch built, the boom, pods and ECM blisters are from a limited run resin set available here in Australia. AdamLouiseModellers
It looks fantastic Ray, mine won't turn out like that, I'm kind of going for the fictional look as in it will remain the original A330 with a scratch built refueling probe and a few random decals I have in my spares supply. All my future kits will be done with an airbrush, in the past I've always hand painted with revell enamels, but I've switched to Vallejo Model Air now. I'm only 25 and In the past year or so did I truly get into the hobby as such. I have around 7 projects on going but they include tanks, Audi R8 which I'm helping my girlfriend on and a sortment of aircraft mainly in 1:144. I've built revells haribo set and Ryanair but they were all hand painted and not exactly that great, I'll upload pictures if anyone is interested. Romeo Alpha Yankee
Hey Adam, did you finish the B747- 8i yet? Wondering how it finished up?
AdamLouiseModellers
Hey Ray. I've had a bit of a break from it, been focusing more on airbrushing other models. I'll be continuing with it sometime this week though, I've had it on my to do list for far too long now. I'm in the process of doing the KLM 767-300, I just have to fill and sand the fuselage seem line then I can do a little clean up then start painting. For such an old kit, the fit is superb. How's your work's coming along?
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Thanks for the update Adam, I have also been on a go slow on most projects, just picked up the A350 I started last year and am getting on with it ;D
AdamLouiseModellers
Sounds good Ray. Will you be doing the A350 in Airbus colours or an airline? I'm going to be sanding the fuselage for the KLM tomorrow and then If everything goes to plan, I should be able to put a basecoat down. I'll try remember how to attach pictures again and get some up
