Redboost
Hi all, this is my first attempt at the Trumpy's Thud kit. I built the Wild Weasel first in order to gain some experiences before I'll get to the F-105D kit. The assembly was not difficult and I utilized couple of aftermarkets: Eduard Zoom etched for interior, Montex canopy masks ans etched RBF flags. Despite heavy rivet detail and few omissions that I believe the Thud fans could easily reveal, I'm happy with it. Cheers Libor

I love the quality and detail of the paint and finishing work.If she was placed on a complimentary diorama base you'd have total 'scale reality'.All the best,Paul. Darren Rhodes
Ooh indeed! That is stunning! Call me odd, but I actually quite like the somewhat heavy rivet detail. Good call on practicing on an F-105G first, especially as I want to build a 'D in natural metal. Darren

Booty003
That looks absolutely stunning - lovely finish and I personally find that the panel lines and rivet detail can really bring some models to life. I have nearly got the same kit to the primer stage and I would be very pleased if mine looked half as good as yours when I am finished. Great effort and well photographed. What paints did you use? I usually use Xtracrylix but have recently bought the Hataka 'Nam set (haven't used them yet though). Really like the weathered, sun faded look that you have achieved. Redboost
Thanks everyone for comments! The D tail is one of the kit's omissions... some 2mm in scale and similar in chord are missing, but really visible only side by side with an D. Pity they could not avoid that...The paints are Gunze Aqueous for the Nam: H303 and 309 for greens, 310 brown and 311 light grey. Haven't try the Hataka paints yet, but club fellows did and were dissaponted, say the least... they haven't spray easily, choked the nozzle and made rubber-like surface, but maybe it needs more testing and experiences...CheersLibor
Redboost
... one more shot. I was still trying to figure out the canopy sealing and eventually used elastic yellow vinyl tape (so called electrician tape) cut to 0.1mm strips. i guess it looks better now.CheersLibor
