Hello

Micro update with the work on the wings.

You have to plug wing extensions. very curious that the contact do not follow a panel line.
KH offers a very interesting crenel like fit.

It will need some CA glue and putty:

Moreover, the plug is thicker than the wing.
Sanding needed...

Then, we got heat shrink on the external surfaces:

So... putty:

And sanding:

Hello

Small update

My friend raphael did an amazing job correcting the exhausts.
He shortened the outer petals and detailed the inner ones.

Inner Petals:

Cutting of the support:

You have to remove the plastic ring:

I find the parts very convincing.
Cant wait to paint them to reveal the details.

I also filled the huge trenches at the fin bases:

Cheers!

Hi !

I couldnt resist to buy the impressive barracuda's exhausts.

It is truly impressive detailled resin parts.

So, then I couldnt resit to chop of the parts from their blocks, and to do dry fit testing.

Sadly, I had to remove the Afterburner ducts because it does not fit with Barracuda exhauts.

It was tricky but I finaly managed to extract them.

After some triming, I could have pu the resin on the Foxbat:

I hope to be able to continue this build soon!

Hello

I sprayed Alclad grey primer on the whole aircraft.

The coat was a bit rough so I sanded it smooth wit fine abrasive sponge.

Seams reappeared  at the wingtip junctions.

I had to sand it again...

Next, I sprayed Alclad gloss black primer on the future metallic areas.

After primer is full dry, black coat is polished with Micromesh abrasives clothes. I used grades 6000 8000 and 12000:

Hello

Vallejo metal acrylics are sprayed on gloss black.

An aluminium coat is first sprayed, then lines and surfaces are enhanced with a mix of alu+steel+bronze.
