Kitty Hawk Jaguar question.

I've been getting ready to start work on a KH Jag, but looking at builds of the kit vs. photos of the real plane, I've noticed a potential hiccup.

Specifically, the kit seems to sit pretty much level - the belly is horizontal - as is well illustrated by this pic: http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Artek72/media/Jaguar%20A/JaguarA034_zps95bd7d7f.jpg.htmlfrom this build thread on BM: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234958918-jaguar-a-kitty-hawk-148/ (really nice build; I'm only linking to illustrate the sit, not comment on the build itself) Actually, if anything, it may be a touch nose-down.

Whereas photos of the actual plane seem to show that it sits slightly nose-high; that the plane should have a slight tail-end-squat:

So what's the deal? Does the kit sit at the wrong angle, or is it just an optical illusion in the reference pics? And if the kit is wrong, what is the problem - is the landing gear geometry wrong? Does have too much extension? Wheel diameters? What should be done to fix it?

Purely from looking at the side on shot of the kit I would say the nose wheel may well be undersized, that's my two pence worth, main gear looks ok.

Its an area they didnt quite pull off, but then neither did Airfix - the u/c legs sit too close in whereas on the real thing they are splayed outwards marginally more. Very noticeable are tyres - the Jag was developed to operate from rough air strips and so tyres are flat at the bottom when it stands - that hasn't been executed correctly either and just makes the look completely wrong.

I've made 3 or 4 Airfix Jags and each time I've re-structured the u/c legs and used resin wheels and thats exactly what I'll do when I start the next one albeit a KH one.
