Artie
Hi all....here you are an old and venerable Airfix's Stuka, with some minor mods to represent a Legion Condor's B-1. Minor work involved a new propeller, new exhausts, reshaping chin radiator, etc....I also detailed the cockpit interior with some copper wire, lead foil, etc...Decals came from an old Hobbycalcas sheet. I painted it with Gunze Sangyo acrylics and slightly weathered the ugly lady with pastel chalks. I hope you'll like it and, as usual, any comment will be welcome.... Best regards from Tenerife... Bonehammer
Looks suitably threatening. I don't quite understand from the pictures what you did to the panel lines, but I like the effect.
Artie
Looks suitably threatening. I don't quite understand from the pictures what you did to the panel lines, but I like the effect. I left the original panel lines there.....just used a soft pencil to "draw" them after the kit was painted, then softened then with an old, hard haired brush...that gives you the impression of overlapping panel lines...but the original raised panel lines are still there...
modelling minion
Thats a great looking Stuka. I just bought another from Telford and Airfix go and announce a brand new 1/48 Ju-87 B1! I can see a lot more Stukas being built in the near future. Very well done. Craig.

That's another fine example of Murphy's Law at its best.......I've told my brother to start building his old Dynavector Scimitar, so Airfix can finally announce their new one..... :)
Artie
Thank you very much for your input.....I had this kit waiting for a decent life......for decades (old white box). I didn't want to complicate my already difficult life with aftermarkets or rescribing, so decided an OOB kit with just a different scheme, so some decals from my spares box came to my help. Just a few early Ju87B saw any action during the SCW, and it happens that I've got lots of pics of 29 o 8 at my hand..... Next one will be the new Airfix B-1, and will probably be 29 o 9 or 29 o 11, with the nice Jolanthe pig carachter painted on the undercarriage legs..... Best regards... :poppy:
