Alan 47 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Great easy kit this with no issues at all , I decided against the paint instructions as it was too bright and decided to mute the colour sch To reflect how it looked in the show , I did this by using humbrol metal coat polished steel then gave it a dry brush of citadel iron breaker steel to give a scratched effect So I hope you like it and comments welcome 7
Deadman Disciple Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Nice work there. Got one of these from the fair, just wondering when you painted the eyestrip red, how to replicate the centre eye effect. Edited November 8, 2015 by Deadman Disciple 1
Alan 47 Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Nice work there. Got one of these from the fair, just wondering when you painted the eyestrip red, how to replicate the centre eye effect. Cheers mate I appreciate it I painted it last , I just used a very thin brush to paint it dark grey then I added the red eye with just a tiny bit on the tip of the brush , it's best to use a brush that has a point I used a humbrol number one its a pretty rubbish brush but it's good for things like this I hope this helps you out
Deadman Disciple Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Cheers Alan, I use a Citadel fine detail brush for small detail, I find it smaller than a Humbrol No1. 1
Alan 47 Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 I'll look out for one of those brushes I've got a GW by me so I'll take a gander
Deadman Disciple Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Another quick question. When you installed the engines & put the bottom plate in. Did you do any filling on the rear around the engines. Ive noticed a gap on mine where you can see right through to the mounting pins. Cheers, Wayne 1

Cheers, Wayne Mine went together fine Wayne, I never had any fit problems but I have read about others have it could be a storage problem , I've had kits that have been terrible but people who built the same kit say there's was ok
