1/144 New Releases at Telford - Any Chance?

Once again I see new topics popping up below all relating to "November release" or "To be announced at Telford", unfortunately nothing in the small scale. Will I have to wait until Nuremberg again and the annual let down from Revell or is there any chance of some nice new 1/144 tooling being announced this weekend?

Been waiting for one for ages so would be nice, I agree though we'll probably have to wait until Nuremberg.

What would be really nice is if they release some fighters with more than one decal option.

Maybe we'll even get the F-15C that the F-15E sprue design clearly suggests is coming!!

If that happens I hope the decals are better then the latest strike eagle they released, the decals where all out of register, such a pity as I was looking forward to doing the standard sqdn markings with a full weapons load

While it looks as though there will be few 1/144 scale announcements at SMW unfortunately, we do have a number of interesting models to look forward to such as the announced Lincoln from AModel, the Minicraft stretched Hercules, the Great Wall Victor K2 - and hopefully (fingers crossed) the Argosy from Mikro Mir. In addition of course there are the Welsh Models production, so all is not doom and gloom.

Yeah I suppose there are a few bits n pieces coming soon at least, if the Victor K2 is as good as the Vulcan I'll be pleased. Still waiting for Revell to announce a C-160 in 1/144 though, surely it makes sense to downsize the 1/72 version!!

I ordered the Tomytec P-3 Orion last night along with the additional set of lights and motors, from what I've seen the kit looks great (pre painted but I'll be stripping and repainting it) just need to source some decals for it - not easy!!

I wish i had your optimism on the Lincoln, but history has not been kind in respect of some of the AModel announcements making it to market - thankfully others seem to have taken up the baton, such as MIKR-MIR etc

Rumoured releases from 2008 (still not arrived)??

1/144 Manchester

1/144 Lincoln

1/144 He-111

The Great Wall will at least arrive, I hadn't heard about the stretch C-130 though?

I don't know if this has been mentioned already but I picked up a nice little conversion set for the B-52 from Retrokit/Retrowings. The set includes 19 resin parts to backdate a Revell B-52H to one of the B-52B/C/D or E variants. Retrokit also produce, in conjunction with Eduard, a Spitfire T.Mk.9 two seat conversion set. The Eduard Spitfire and Retrokit conversion set are included in the package.

Retrowings do some great stuff, I've had numerous sets for different aircraft and they all seemed good.

I've also just bought an etched set for the Revell F-15E from a company called Shelf Oddity, it back dates the kit to a B/D variant (I'm just planning to use bits for detailing the F-15E as I can't source decals for a D), anyway I've not used it yet but at first glance the set looks great. There seems to be a lot more coming in the small scale nowadays!!
