Geoff_B
So that means next friday will be the last 'Airfix Workbench' with new kits announced for 2016. I don't think so it will cover the development of those kits and then go on to 2017 Kits,

Truro Model Builder
Not confirmed yet. I'm keeping to what Airfix have announced, and I've listed the AEW Shack as the display of a model with the radome earlier this year is a 99.9% confirmation. Colin @ Freightdog Models
The year book replaces the Airfix catalogue, look forward to seeing what's in it. I know it will contain builds of some of the new releases, I supplied some decals for the Firedog Beaufighter. Colin
Truro Model Builder
If this does indeed replace the catalogue, then Airfix's announcement next week could well be the entirety of the 2016 range...
kstater94
I also think that you might see a 1/48 Sea Hurricane given that the parts (or most of them) are in the Mk.1 kit which has already been released John

Paul J
I found out about this in the latest edition of Aeroplane Monthly that I bought just for the calendar as it has original colour photos of a variety of aircraft and NOT restorations!! Any way there is a half page ad in said magazine. I sincerely hope it does NOT replace the catalogue I'll be very upset if this is the case. I have every catalogue from the first edition of around the very early 1960s with the white cover etc. Butfear is the case as Colin 'Freightdog' says. If its anything I collect to do with Airfix, its the catalogues!
old thumper
That is only three entirely new 1.72 scale aircraft kits, the rest are different versions of existing kits. The idea of refreshing each type of aircraft kit with different versions is just great for me and I think Airfix as well. I expect Airfix will knock quite a few more entirely new 1.72 scale aircraft kits out next year as well, they seem to be steaming ahead with recreating the large and comprehensive range they offered in the 70's. I don't think any of the old kits will be produced for much longer.

Yes four new aircraft sorry, I still reckon there will be more though. Perhaps even as many as another 6.
Mr T
You could add the Blenheim 1f to the list as it appears to be the cover of the Airfix Modelworld give away calendar. I assume it is the existing kit with the sprue from the IVf kit which had a MkIf gunpack

I assume it is the existing kit with the sprue from the IVf kit which had a MkIf gunpack I bet it will still be a "Bleningbroke"!

FIGHTS ON
Will Airfix re-release some of their "newer" but now hard to find kits? I' m thinking Lightning and TSR-2 or are the moulds now beyond use?

SeaVenom
Will Airfix re-release some of their "newer" but now hard to find kits? I' m thinking Lightning and TSR-2 or are the moulds now beyond use? They'd have to be some poor moulds to be beyond use after only a few years. Those moulds should last for a very long time (when we've long departed planet earth).
dazdot
I hope airfix take a tamiya approach too their tooling now as it shows that if you don't go mad the tools last in a good condition for a very long time. Look at the lotus
