The very best of luck with your new venture!

Should you ever free yourself of this lamentable obsession with 1/48 scale, I should really welcome IN 1/72 of course a sheet or sheets covering FAA code letters and numbers in a. Trainer Yellow and b. red with white outlines. Only 1 or 2 colours per sheet: should be cheap to produce. I've been nagging every transfer producer I can think of since the dawn of time but zero response thus far.

I was going to suggest the white outlined red myself, came up in a discussion with Tony O Toole.

The trainer yellow would be of use as well.

Be easy enough to do in both scales. The big question is did these vary as much as RAF codes!

A Sea Hurricane sheet would be handy, both Mk I (for Airfix) and the few IIC schemes,

Be easy to offer multiple options with a few appropriate code letters and serial block as well.

maybe out of the initial area.

Arabic numerals, as used by various Middle East airforces, and often the only main variations. usually black, so cheap to produce, and one sheet would be a real boon.

On a similar tack, a well researched Arab MiG's sheet, or even Arab AF markings and badge given the lack of photos, UARAF squadron badges, and correct UARAF roundels, as many used the red/white/black, and added a number of stars, they could be added separately.

Tom Cooper would be yr man for this.

I appreciate not as well researched as you would like, but having got Arab MiG's 1-3, there just are not many photos, but there are noted serials, and these did vary much.

I don't know if Eduard are planning a specialist Arab MiG boxing.

A decent foreign Hunters sheet in 1/48, Cutting Edge used to do one, but it's long gone. AFAIK there has never been a 1/48th Lebanese option, and the Jordanian ones look great.

a look here will show examples of all of the above

Should demonstrate what I mean about need for sets of Arabic numerals.

Foreign Meteor F.8 users, plenty of these, lots of colourful schemes, the Isradecal sheet is long OOP, also Syrian, Brazilian, Dutch, Belgian, Danish, Egyptian, though I'm sure you have thought of these already.

hope of interest.

cheers

Two stage Mossies for me as well please. I have the kits and two very nice resin engine sets.

If I may suggest a hook to gain attention why not have a single scheme for something a bit left field on each sheet. Captured aircraft, markings for conversion kits, film aircraft whatever? Possibly a completely different subject to the main sheet even vehicles maybe?

Not sure if you're still taking ideas @Jon Kunac-TabinorNF.14 decals for the new Sword 1:48 kit would be very much appreciated!

Be nice to see more night fighter squadrons, 60 and 64  in particular for me.

There are some nice second line options with various Station and Communications Flights, and 1 & 2 ANS.

Ferranti, Rolls Royce and A&AEE options for a splash of colour.

I would second that thought from @71chally those logos seen on engine testbeds, old company emblems such as Hawker, Vickers, Avro etc, so many interesting subjects out there.

I have to say chaps that as my decal designer is currently 'hors de combat' it may be a wee while before stuff happens. But, that doesnt mean it won't, and never say never.

Cheers and apologies for my woefully poor reply rate
