Booty003
Yes I know that you have all seen 1 or 50 of these before but this is my first EVER Lightning build....!!! Really enjoyed this kit and will plan on doing many more. Sprayed using Vallejo Model Air paints, Flory Wash, sealed with Vallejo Matt. Wire for the pitot probe. Cheers all, Phil Thanks for looking.

Cookenbacher
It's always Lightning time on Britmodeler. I really like the finish you've achieved - weathering natural metal is so difficult - well done!
Booty003
Cheers guys - I am really pleased with the way that it has turned out. I haven't built that many of the new Airfix kits but have got loads in the stash...!!! Onwards!!
PhantomBigStu
echo what I've said elsewhere, will add this has inspired me to get back to working on the one I have on the go and finally decide on the scheme.
Lightningboy2000
Superb, really nicely done and the weathering effects look really good. Must get round to finishing mine. What did you use for the nose ring and the exhaust housing? Martin
Badvest
Did you use the new Vallejo range and , if so, which are the 'must have' ones?
Booty003
I used a silver Edding Paint Pen (think it was a 750) for the nose ring and exhaust housing, goes on a treat. Not too sure if the Vallejo silver is part of a new range or not - I picked up 4 metallic colours of theirs, really like the dropper bottle design for filling the airbrush (just need to remember not to use too much as it gets wasted!!). Cheers all, Phil
Lightningboy2000
Good idea with the Edding paint pen, especially for small shiny/reflective details. I guess you can buff it up to a shine then? I've been using bare metal foil, but that's very fiddly trying to make sure it stays on. Martin
