Redboost
Hi folks, the Special Hobby kit is around for a while now and it therefore required quite some work to bring it to decent level. I made new pilot's canopy, added scratch built details to the wheel bays and enhanced the gear legs, arrestor hook, position lights and other smaller details. The kit was built for upcoming Valiant Wings Airframe Album that has been just announced.CheersLibor

Lightningboy2000
Superb to see and and the usual excellent standard of finish! A coincidence since I picked one of these up recently from the de Havilland Museum. Also recently found that a close friend worked on Hornets at Butterworth, not sure yet if he ever saw these though. Hopefully the book will be available for SMW? Martin

bryanm
Lovely modelling! A shame that they have made the almost standard mistake with the base of the windscreen. There aren't many good photos showing the top of the Hornet wing, but this one suggests that SH's panel lines on the wing upper surface are a bit overdone. https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/255346-de-havilland-sea-hornet-nf-mk21/ Wikipedia notes that the lower wing skin was Alclad but the upper surface had a wooden skin so likely to be smooth. Redboost
Thanks everyone for comments! Bryanm: the kit is obviously based on scale drawings by Ian Huntley published in Warpaint Series book; the kit well matches all panelling and canopy curvatures. The differencies compared to real thing are there, that's for sure. Ivan: GSI Hobby H74 Sky and H331 Dark Sea Grey. Cheers Libor

Meatbox8
Fantastic work Libor. I am currently really struggling with this kit so this has inspired me to persevere. I have used the resin parts which have seriously affected the fit as I don't recall having such problems with the Special Hobby Hornet F1.
Redboost
I also had some troubles as the front cockpit floor was too wide, but after some adjustments all matched OK.
