Szervusztok!

My F-4ETM is in finish, so I looking for the next challange.
I bought it one year ago and after this one year salivation I preparing to start the buildig.
Also, the Summer Santa give me a box os Rus. A2G armament.

I choose the other painting variant, this a/c belonging to a testing and training unit.

I still hesitating on the arming. I going to add some strike congig, but have not decided yet, exactly what. Maybe that one from the box art? Or do a Wild Weasel? In Wild Weasel rola MKK carries up to six(!) X-31 missiles. If not all of the six, but I would happily mount four X-31s just to make it looks like a real strike-fighter.

Also here is written, that MKKs go to patrol with R-77.
On this way I think about such a loadout that contains the two ECM pods on the wingtips, two R-37, two R-77 and four X-31, but I am not sure if it is a "clever" choose? Atleast is it may possible at this unit...

SU-30MKK serving in other Chineese units I also could find such loadouts:

So is it possible that 2+2+2+4 config? huh.png

Anyway, has anyone references for SU-30MKK cockpit? I tried Google, but how should I know I found exactly MKK cockipt (not MKI or whatever) ?

I'll be following this one Borisz.......

I did mine as in the box art - a PLANAF Navy version......... fully armed (but probably not realistic)

Su-30MKK%20046.JPG

Note that to be accurate, the fins need to be made bigger......

Su-30MKK%20011.JPG

I did mine myself....

.... but Dream Models do a set of replacement resin fins.

My full build is here.

Happy Flankering!!

Try russianplanes.net for photos, not sure how many they have on there of these. If you don't read Russian I recommend opening in google chrome and then right click translate page.... Look forward to more progress.

Hello!

I had some rough exams, so modeling was a luxury, but after I passed those, here I am with some progress.
First of all, special thanks to Radleigh. Via the russianplanes.net I found the scalemodels.ru.

With some superb walkarounds I stared to give soma exxtra details, 'cause I am not satisfied with what Trumpeter provides.

So I started the scratch building in he cockpit. Mirrors, some pipes on the side of the canopy, back wall of the canopy and the two 'Jesus's heart knob' to the seats. Also the displays are painted over, because those would not run without electricity. To tell it honestly, I had to remove the pipes, since there was simply no space for those in a closed canpoy, and to being topped I forgot to install the HUD-s, :banghead: I will have to re-open it...

Dunno how you see it, but the canopy and the windshield had a neat line trouhgt its lenght.

You can guess how happy I was to do it disappear.

Some interrior:

Pipes are remowed:

The conversation of the main wheel bays started with a notice, that there is a hole in the inner side os each ones. And I had a closer look on the walkarounds...

So in the bigining:
Just close it said it to myself. Insert two pararell sheets. Nothing special, I said.

But of course I could not stop here.

Guys, I'm officialy strucked.
The correct color simply cant be found.

This is the result of two layers of Humbrol 145. This is given on the instuction sheet.

P1070544.jpg

Actually I tried two cans of it. I had one from years before, and also bought a brand new, the result was the same either if Humbrol thinner was used.

I tried Gunze 337 too, and its still not that what I need.

And Humbrol 144:

Does someone have any ideas?

At least, here are the anti-radiation missiles! :)

Looks great Borisz. I'm buiding the same kit myself, in the other paint scheme. Have you tried FS36176? Testors sells it as F-15 Dark Gray.

Good evening gents!

At sunday late night I've finished this project.
I am not 100% satisfied with the kit itself and neither with the result of my job, but I am happy to see this giant in my cabinet.

However its a farly nice model kit, its not precise enough for me. Actually it had a lot of irritating issues with the accuracy of the details. Or the lack of the details. Either the armament is chaotic!
If You want to build a Flnaker it'll do it, but if you want to build an accurate SU-30 MKK, well... as we say: tie up your pants.

But I also have to say that the fitting wasn't bad at all.

I would give a 7 on a scale up to 10.
