CF-100 CANUCK Mk.4 - Hobbycraft 1/48

Recommended Posts

As in the title, Hobbycraft model toy, like Frog but engraver with a complete lack of detail and lines like Mariana Trench. Unfortunately this is the only Canuck in 48. For my part made from scratch: wheel bay, landing gear, position lights, nozzles, vacu canopy with windshield and smalls. Added resine seats Pavla (the closest to the original MB - probably Mk.2) and PE table clocks with something that I most fit to oryginal.
Painted Gunze SM Chrome plus other, decals CanuckModels 024 - 428 "Ghost" Squadron.
At the end of a small comparison to A-4. Canuck is really big plane, a long time ago I thought it was a Meteor and here you have to add about 50%. Another curiosity is the version Mk.4 armed with a rocket carriage (70 mm in the tray 48 pieces - fired a salvos)
Feel free to ride.

You've done a great job with what is a pretty rough and ready kit! I've often looked at building one and decided against it, but seeing the great job you've done makes me think twice.

Regards,

Nik

Nice work on that horrible beast of a kit! One small word of correction though: The Mk. IV CF-100 had 8 X .50 guns in the tray under the fuselage.

The rockets were carried in wingtip pods, 29 per pod.

Your model shows the optional wingtip fuel tanks. Here's a photo showing the rocket pods as they looked before firing them knocked the nose and tail fairings off:

And one with the tanks (The gun pack is nicely displayed here):
