theplasticsurgeon
As we all know, this is a copy of the Matchbox kit, so here is my previous form with that kit.First my copy of the NF14.Next an WS774 built for father of a colleague - who helped retore this aircraft. Then 3 more copies for the rest of the restoration team.http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1331-meteor-triple-header/. MichaelSatin
Wow, that's a lot of filler. Good luck with the wing fit! Michael
theplasticsurgeon
Well the Jet Age Restoration team should have moved this aircraft inside yesterday. Quite a lot of shuffling of exhibits on Sunday - to create the space. I was in the warm serving teas, coffees and cakes that afternoon. Talking to the chaps, they hadn't noticed squadron markings on Stbd side - and incomplete on the Port side. Well they know now! The move should enable me to take walkaround style photos of this aircraft. The restoration team tell me it's a hybrid of several planes. The A/C intakes under the fuselage have never been found, so probably won't ever be fitted. No further progress on this subject - but an evening's sanding is coming my way.

theplasticsurgeon
Overpainted the squadron symbols, and painted the Suez band deep yellow. the lines are decal. I had to double up the fuselage roundel - overpainted.Infilled the Suez bands with gloss black. Spare decal triangles joined up for the Jet Age plane.A spot of tidying up before parking in the airing cupboard to set. This side is incomplete on our plane.
