RAF HARNESSES

Hi guys.

Just a quick one.

Does anybody have a good suggestion for a colour for the harnesses for my GR.1 tornado... They're a funny olive/gold/brown.

If somebody makes an out the pot colour this would be great as I'm colour blind and therfore find mixing and blending colours to photos.

Too be fair a light olive/khaki brown would be good.

But then underneath you have French blue straps.

Reason.... One set for the seat then if the recipient has to use it the blue for the chute....might be the other way round.

It's been a while I'm a little rusty on the mk10 seat.

All those years on the mighty king.

It's been a while and my knowledge of the mk 10 (h)seat is hazey.

There is only 1 set of straps on a mk10 seat and they are golden brown. The only blue bits are the leg lines.

Reckon I've got memory lost,Scoots is correct apologies.

Mind you I forgot about the leg restraint lines being blue.

Give you a splash of colour in the cockpit....mind you good luck with 1/72.

Hi Tony,

I have used Humbrol Matt Khaki (26) for harness on some of my RAF builds. Not a perfect match but pretty good, you could also try brushing some clear gold over it to give a bit more of a sheen and deepen the colour. HTH

The main pad on the back of the seat is dark green colour and the straps are a copper brown. The ones on the head box seem a bit brighter as the others get handled more.
