Great colour - how did you remove the chrome?

cheers

Thanks caterhamnut :)

The chrome was removed by soaking in some household bleach for a few minutes. Give the parts a good rinse afterwards and they're good to paint

Hi Folks,

Not as much progress as I would have liked but thought I'd share it no matter. I've opted for an aluminium cab floor so as to brighten the interior. I'm also toying with leaving the doors and bonnet off but that call will be with my son!

Hi Nigel.

That's all looking rather splendid! Love the blue paintwork! The wood flooring decal looks good in the back too. Excellent progress.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Kind regards,

Stix

Hey Stix, How you doing? Thank you - I'm happy with progress even if it is rather slow!

Thought I'd drop in and post a 'still in progress' picture. Been so busy with work and family my modelling time is rather limited :(

Hoping to complete her before the new year as I have a few GB's to plan :frantic:

Cheers

Hi Nigel. I'm fine thanks and I hope you are too. Life does sometimes have a way of getting in the way of modelling but I agree with you - progress is progress even if it is only a little.

Like you, I have a lot of builds to fit in in the early part of the year - there are quite a few GBs on all at the same time arn't there! Should be fun!!

Kind regards,

Stix

its looking very impressive now its coming together.

Thank you noeyedears - almost over the line! :)

That is looking very smart Nigel. Good luck with the last few parts!!

Thank you Stix - Feels like a long build but almost there :)

I managed to put the base layer on the bonnet today but will now be 'off-line' re. building for a few days. I reckon I'll still finish before the new year so fingers crossed.

Merry Christmas to all

Cheers

At last - All ready for my lad's shelf. Complete with the decals of his choice.

Just in time for the start of the 2016 GBs too!!

Thanks for keeping me company during the build folks - It's much appreciated and helps to spur me on :)

Cheers

Nigel
