Found this start for a chute mold on another website. Link is to the photobucket account. Started by DMACWW2. I believe that his intentions was to create some molds for vacforming.

Probably not how the example above was done though.

all I can think of for the suspension lines is appropriate sized thread or ez line maybe stiffened with white glue. Once stiff, you could cut to correct lengths. Hmm.
