Hey guys, i would like to show you my last build, Tamiya P-51D Mustang. It was just a quick build, originaly planed as OOB.. in the end i did a few additions:

- puttied wing

- riveted fuselage

- cockpit detailing (scratch + some PE + aires seat)

- scratched mirror

- quickboost flaps, main gear legs covers, tail wheel well, propeller blades

- re-shaped main gear legs + added some details to these

- added details to drop tank racks

- added details to drop tanks (scratches, pipes)

- drilled exhausts pipes

- new MG barrels made from needles/brass tubes

- formation lights drilled out and made new from clear plastic sheet

quick WIP thread here for anyone interested :)http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234988612-p-51d-quick-build/

Now i made a lot of shots of the mustang, so i ll try to show you few of them :)

Thanks Ian, i appreciate any kind of comments. And no problem at all, someone likes clean models, someone likes them dirty as hell :) thats everyones personal taste and i respect others opinion in this :) i m the guy who likes the kits more dirty (well, i would like them as most realistic as it could be done, but that is a long way for me yet :) ), but even then i have to agree with you, in some particular areas it is a tiny little bit too heavy even for me, but well, one is still learning ;)

Startlingly good work there - incredible weathering.

I like to think of weathering as being impressionistic - sure, you can go for absolute accuracy, but I'd rather be drawn in with a bit of drama such that I want to know the story of the machine in question and the people who flew and worked on her. After all, if you wanted absolute accuracy, there's no substitute for sheet metal and 1:1 scale!

I absolutely love this.
