Buying a camera from Amazon in France

Looking at Amazon.fr the Nikon body D7200 I am after is around £100 cheaper if brought from the French website (996 Euros compared to £810 in the uk). has anyone had any experience of doing this and what any additional charges there might be? I understand that the camera will be covered by the a full European Nikon warranty.....

If tax is paid in the EU country of purchase, then import duty does not apply. It only applies when purchased from outside the EU. Here's a couple of links:

The only downside I can think of is that you're likely to get a non-UK plug on the charger, if it comes with one. If you're saving £100 that's trivial.

You shouldn't have to pay import duty within the EU. I recently bought a Samsung NX500 from the German Amazon site although I got it delivered to my sister's address in Munich, mainly because I was shortly going to visit her and it saved postage. If that hadn't been the situation I would just have got it sent directly to the UK. FWIW I had no problem registering the warranty on Samsung's UK site.
