I did see somewhere on AMK facebook page that they are still assisting with development of this kit before they work on their next project

Sometimes in late 2021, test sprues were sent to Annetra by AMK for evaluation, but some corrections were needed appearently and since then, no new info. Reportedly AMK, had manpower and resource issues due to the impact of COVID19. This was mentioned by Mr.Jares of Annetra. He claimed the project is still ongoing, but I am doubtful we will ever see it completed. Same for the Starfighter...

No rivets.

That's the one I'll be buying so, I hate rivet detail of all kinds on models, particularly of the raised variety. Yes, I know that in some cases it's technically correct, but to me it just never looks right and always looks overdone. First thing I do with any kit is sand off the raised rivets.....

These decals look great and it is nice to see actual letters for the stencil decals, which is similar to Zvezda.  This is a very nice looking kit - tough decision coming up.  I actually do like rivets, provided it is not overboard but we will have to see once these are actually reviewed.  Would love to see a review actually compare the pros & cons of these 3 choices.  Price will matter and if there is any PE in the box will help.

I am hoping to build a German Air Force Mil Mi-8 and it appears to me that none of the 1/48 kits have the tail rotor on the right-hand side that the German version has.  Can anyone clarify if there's a 1/48 kit which can be built as a GAF Mi-8 please?

Thanks

Cheers

Shaun

Hi, All,

As you may know already, our customer Annetra requested us to release Mi-17 for them.

Below are some of the pictures, and we may start sending to our distributors from 10th December.

Hope you like it!

Cheers!

Hi all
Not being a Russian built helo expert, can anyone tell me if this (or any other of the new kits) can be built as a German Mil Mi-8 please?  Thanks very much for any advice.

In short, no. The GAF Mi-8s are first generation machines (Mi-8T) while all currently released kits (Annetra, Hobby Boss, Zvezda) are second generation machines (Mi-8MT). Here are the main differences, pics shamelessly 'stolen' from Ken @Flankerman (Mi-8T vs. Mi-8MT):

Annetra has the whole engine unit as a separate part so maybe they will release a first generation Hip in the future.
