Vingtor
As this is an "early type", what are the differences between early and late? Just wondering if I should get the early type kit, or wait for the late.... Nils

tonyot
I`m looking forward to it as I want one in Royal Canadian Navy markings! Just need to get my hands on the IPMS Canada decal sheet now, as the Belcher sheet doesn`t include the one that I want to build! Caerbannog
Nice. Is it me or is the Insignia Blue of the decals a bit light?
hopkp
Nice. Is it me or is the Insignia Blue of the decals a bit light? Maybe - but if that's all that's wrong with it I'll be happy!

71chally
I understand why Brit modelers wouldn't have an attraction for the type. Given how frequently service Shooting Stars were seen in the UK (inc CT-133 Silver Stars) I really don't get that comment, also at least one high profile civil registered example, and a smattering of T-33s in museums should make it attractive. I am definitively going to invest in this much overlooked type. Edited April 29, 2016 by 71chally

Scooby
Scott Van Aken first impressions: http://modelingmadness.com/scott/korean/preview/gwh/l4819.htm V.P. Very odd he didn't post images of the sprues, at times it sounded like he only received the box, instructions, and decals.
lesthegringo
Some odd engineering choices as well by the sound of it - I will be interested in seeing a build review to see how it all goes together and what has to be done for certain options. Having said that, the general consensus of the review was positive Les

Work In Progress
I wish that either Leading Edge would reissue their 1/48 sheet for natural metal Canadian variants, or someone else would do one. I made one out of a Hobbycraft kit many years ago: it was a LOT of work to correct at least some of the shape defects and get it all to settle down under the Alclad. I'd like to do it again to a higher standard.
