David Lengyel
Hello everyone, XMM full trunking intakes arrived from Russia so I tried to fit them on the Phantom. It looks like pretty straightforward replacement, so I'm praying it would be true. Now I have everything to seal the fuselage. Rhino will get his distinct shape soon, hopefully.

giemme
David, I think this review of the XMM intake might be useful for you (even if it is about the 1/72 version). Ciao

David Lengyel
Hello everyone, thanks for a feedback, I appreciate that Here's a couple of pictures from the recent progress. Phantom has all the internal subassemblies now.
giemme
Great pics, they show an amazing level of detail! Keep it up Ciao
David Lengyel
Rhino has wings and sits on the display base. Now I'm working on the surface details - filling, sanding, rescribing panel lines and rivets, polishing. Getting close to the surfacer.
giemme
Can I please ask what have you used for the base? Ciao
David Lengyel
Can I please ask what have you used for the base? It's custom made by belorussian modeler Alexander Nevsorow aka Slava Trudu. David Lengyel
After some time off the bench because of running scale model show event and necessary education which allow me to lead scale modeling club for kids and youth, I'm back on the Rhino project. As shown on pictures, Rhino underwent some treatment over seams which means lots of tiny repairs because of bubbles in resin parts or screwed up lines (my mistake). A couple of final adjustments and it will get an overall bad bottom black coat.

David Lengyel
Never ending work on surface topped with some detail work on various areas. I want the surface without scratches and with top notch panel lines and rivets. A lot of swearing and patience ahead of me.
giemme
Patience always pays off. Great, great job Keep it up: Ciao
David Lengyel
Thanks Giorgio Primer is on. Apart of some little errors it seems to be okay.
giemme
Looks very nice with primer on! and what a neat masking for the cockpit, you have all my admiration Two minor points: it looks like you have a couple of scratches on the air intake outside lips (your 4th and last pic - you probably already know that) and there shouldn't be a panel line on the small air scoops (see here). David Lengyel
Alright, so mine die-cut masks didn't arrive on time, but the fight continues. All primed with black surfacer, metallic coat over relevant areas and die-cut masks aka replacement for largest decals are in place. Now it's ready for some paints.
