rossm
A quick question as I'm a bit puzzled - did some ASR squadrons belong to Fighter Command and some to Coastal Command? Did any other commands have any? TIA, Ross
Ragtag
I think Lysanders were originally under the auspices of Fighter Command and the high speed launches under Coastal Command. It reads to me that when the ASR flights became squadrons in their own right that four of them were part of Fighter Command and two part of Coastal Command (page 35). http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/documents/Research/RAF-Historical-Society-Journals/Journal-40.pdf is an interesting read. Kallisti
280 Sqn came under Coastal Command - by coincidence I'm currently building an Avro Anson from 280 Squadron circa early 1942

Ragtag
Have you got as far as the additional rescue gear yet Kallisti? I have a 278 sqn Anson on the to-build list in 1/72.
