Speeder Bike and Biker Scout

Bandai 1/12

Star Wars build no. 4 for the year, and this one went together as well as all the others from Bandai, although the size and shape of it make it somewhat unwieldy when it's all together. The trooper had to be pinned to the saddle to stop him from sliding around and the whole thing's surprisingly heavy, there's quite a lot of plastic in this. The wip thread is here

I'll definitely get another at some point, when Disney sort out the mess they've created, as I'd like to do a Hoth one in white, but for now here's the Endor version.

Hi Andy

well I enjoyed your WIP but not as much as I have looking over this quality masterpiece. Brilliant effects and weathering both on the speeder and rider.

Love the base too - and that satchel mat turned out just fine in the end

10/10

Been a lurker for a while and it was google that lead me here and to your posts when researching for my Star Wars kits as I'm currently getting back into the hobby (well since airfix kits a child many years ago anyway) and had to sign up and just say this is an amazing build, the weathering, base and pose are off the wall! Great work mate, love the style of pics too!

Andy this is truly inspirational work! I have even dug out my old AMT speeder bike to see what I can do with it! Do you mind if I copy your display idea? I think the way you have displayed this model is outstanding.

Don't mind in the least. I'd love to see what you can do with the AMT version. If you were thinking of using a similar wooden base, I got mine from here

Thanks Andy! I have made a start on the bike and I am doing a little conversion work on the figure. The AMT kit is nowhere near as nice as the Bandai kit you have!
