Shaded lightened base colors and the white filter at finish. Argentinian camo - 21/05/1982 - San Carlos bay, area of the Falkland Islands, during reconnaissance fly Lt. Crippa together A-4 attacks by Zuni rockets (Lau-10) British frigate HMS Argonaut. Despite the obvious signs "shoot down", the ship ended up only on eliminating him from the fight due to damage. luis pacheco
Some pic of oryginal camo: The original plane of Crippa. The aircraft was transferred to a private collector in the United States, an Argentine who lives in Texas. In 2009 the guy was offering to sell it to a National Museum in Córdoba. tonyot
Nice model and I love the colour scheme. I`d just like to clarify the kill marking,........the real aircraft only caused superficial cannon damage to HMS Argonaught, mainly to the radar and a follow up attack by a pair of Skyhawk`s resulted in two hits by bombs which both failed to explode, probably because they were dropped too low. These bombs caused some of the Seacat missiles in the magazine to explode and this killed two of the crew. The ship went on to serve until at least 1990 and it rescued Richard Branson and his balloon in mid Atlantic in the later 1980`s.
