Julien Posted September 12, 2015 Share Posted September 12, 2015 RAN Fireflies Korean War 1:48 & 1:72 Red Roo Models While the US does get recognised as the main contributor of forces to the UN Army in the Korean War it must be remembered that many other nations committed forces. Australia committed Army, Air Force and Navy units. The Royal Australian Navy had two carriers which took part. HMAS Sydney and HMAS Vengeance (Loaned from the RN) both carried Fairey Fireflies from 817 Squadron. This sheet from Red Roo (available in both 1/72 & 1/48) allows one aircraft from each carrier to be built.The decals look well printed, colour dense, and should pose no problems to the modeller. A set of comprehensive notes and instructions are provided in addition to the decals.
