Julien
Newark Air Museum is located on the outskirts of Newark on part of the former World War Two airfield of RAF Winthorpe, close to the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire borde. The have an extensive collection of aircraft, helicopters and aero engines. Displays are outside and inside two main hangers. The Museum is open 361 days a year. The museum is open everyday except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. March to October 10am - 5pm, November to February 10am-4pm. Evening visits and other times can be arranged by prior agreement. The museum is more than welcome to help modellers with requests for access for projects etc but they emphasise that you arrange this with BEFORE you arrive in order that they can make sure someone is available to escort people, and provide the access that is requested. For all details of the Museum please visit their website. Of vital importance to those of us who recognise it is the ability on site to get an excellent cup of tea, slice of cake; and a great range in other snacks as well. A selection of what is available, all pics mine.
