Look's superb Iain, colour's look spot on and the Albion turned out equally as good!

Hi Steve

Thanks mate the Spitfire is OK but I'm very happy with the Albion, if I were to build another there are several things I'd do differently (just make painting easier) but overall I really enjoyed the whole experience.

What an absolute cracker :bouncy:

Hey Steve

Thank you, I really appreciate your kind words.

A great looking Spit, very impressive job.

Hi Doozer

Thanks fella

Both are superb you must be well pleased.

Hey Fingers

Yes I am

Very nice Spit and the paint finish looks great.

Hey Knight_flyer

Thanks. It's not perfect by any means (if you look real close) but I am getting better.

Superb build, my favourite BoB spitfire given real justice unlike my attempts

Hi Phantom

Thank you - and I'm sure all your builds are corkers too!

Thoroughly impressed by this timely couple!

Great Spit portrayal (thankfully devoid of blackwashed panel lines) and a lovely bowser (with offset front wheels - yummee!).

Inspiring builds.

Kind regards,

Joachim

Hi Spitfire31

With a name like that you must LOVE Spits (fair play)..thanks mate I had a great time building them both.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I made a start on my Hurricane yesterday by hacking it apart (gulp) and I'll be accompanying this with the Bedford MWD as part of a diorama.

All the best

Iain

That is such a fine build and finish, it is difficult to be gushy about it. It exudes class in the build, in the finish and in the very delicate weathering job.

It is pure artistry and thank you for presenting it to us.

Dear Lain,

Very impressive!

I must admit I had not come across the yellow "Gas Warning Patch" before, but this seems quite authentic as it is shown in the Film shot at the time :-

and can be clearly seen on the early footage of LZ-X. Whether it also appeared on Squadron Leader Rupert Leigh's R6800 is open to speculation, as I cannot find any shots of that aircraft showing the port side wing.

Non-the-less, a very good example.

Regards,

C.H.A. Reilley (Son of PO Hugh W. Reilley)
