  • Homebee changed the title to 1/32 - Bugatti-De Monge 100P resin kit by Aerotech - 3D renders - release in 2023

Will this model be available as a kit?  Will.it have full engine detail like the first edition Fisher Resin kit?

Marsh Models have a good reputation for quality, and this Bugatti 100 Aerotech Series Model in 1/32nd scale slots in nicely between other models of this aircraft that have been issued in 1/72nd, 1/48th, 1/43rd  and 1/24th scales. I think that Lone Star in the US may be the only other making a kit in 1/32nd scale also.

Hi Noel, yes the aero side of Marsh Models (called Aerotech) are all 1/32 kits.

As you say they are all pretty good, apart from the Supermarine S5 which has rather heavy surface detail, poor parts fit and both the floats seem to have suffered from some mould issues leading to a pronounced bannana shape along their length - at least in my kit. I will make new floats, sand all the detail off and invest in a big pot of filler(!) when I build it.

It is a kit. It's not the Fisher Model Pattern kit.

The Fisher first edition with the engine details is 1/24th scale.

I have built it and written a full build article that appeared in a copy of Airfix Modelworld magazine about a year or so ago.

The second edition 1/24th scale Fisher kit was issued without the engine details as a profile model shortly before the disastrous fires that destroyed Paul Fisher's home and business in Paradise, California.

As the Aerotech kit is in 1/32nd scale, I was curious as to whether it will have engine details or just be a profile model of the aircraft.

Mark, you should have returned that S5 kit back as it had quality issues, and asked for another kit. I am sure they would have responded positively.

I received an e mail recently from Marsh models/Aerotech showing that they are issuing a new version of their DH88 Comet in the Burberry colour scheme. Light grey with blue lettering etc.  Chris.

None of the Aerotech kits has engine detail, so I'd say no.

Mark? Who is Mark?🤣

Every copy of the S5 I have seen is the same, so no point returning it, I am pretty sure I read somewhere that John Simonds used a different patternmaker for the S5 to all his other kits.

I agree with @Sabrejet, I expect there will be no engine detail in the Bugatti.

BTW the Aerotech Supermarine S4 came with a Napier engine to display alongside the model.

It would be lovely to think that someone might go "full beans" and do both original and recent Hayabusa-engined versions, with engines for both. Well one can wish.
