thepureness
Hi everyone. Just finished my recent project of the new tooled Airfix 1/72 Beaufighter. The kit was a pure joy, no fit issues and only an issue with the painting instructions that Airfix provided being the only issue with the kit. I chose to build the kit OOB and also had a 1/72 Hurricane with the same markings in the stash, So chose to build them together. WIP can be found here http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234987066-airfix-beaufighter-new-tool-and-hurricane-mkiic-seac-172/ Any comments, positive or negative are welcome. Thanks all

tmeyer
Wow, fantastic builds of both! Which Hurricane kit? I really like the SEAC decals and might have to give at least the Beaufighter a go. Tom

Tom It is the airfix tool Tmeyer, came around about 4 years ago I think, not upto their usual standards, but it was a simple build
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
Nice work! Can't argue with the paintwork on either, despite the Airfix Hurricane looking a bit toy like compared to other Hurricane kits. There's no really good Hurricane Mk II by a mainstream company, I prefer the Revell kit but that has it's own issues too! I really must get my Hasegawa Beaufighters done and then get the Airfix kit, as it really does look good in SEAC markings. thanks Mike

Kuro Nezumi
Very nice pair! I'm really tempted to get one someday after seeing your build! The difference between the panel lines on the Hurricane and the Beaufighter; Airfix have indeed come a long way!

Meatbox8
A super build, and the Hurricane. Looking forward to building mine and I think I might have to have at least a couple. The breakdown of the parts suggest there will be other versions in the future too. Hopefully a 1F and VIF.
