Yesterday and today I ended up using these, which I managed to pick up last week:

To get the Centurion looking like this:

I need to do some final weathering before getting some photos taken for the gallery.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Kind regards,

Thank you all for the very kind comments, advice and support.

I have managed to get it finished and into the gallery.

The Gallery photos can be found here. More photos can be found in the RFI section.

Thank you again to anyone who contributed to this thread and to the hosts of this GB - especially snapper_city - for making it such a well run and thoroughly enjoyable GB.

As I mentioned before this was my first proper 1/35 AFV build and it certainly won't be my last.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

Kind regards,

Stix

Oh blimey, now I'll have to buy all the other bits as well!

That looks great Stix, I hope I can do something similar with mine, what did you do with the shell cases to make them look used?

Regards

John

Hi John. Thank you as always for your comments.

The shell casings were first given a wash of thinned Humbrol acrylic matt varnish. Once dry I then applied a very thinned wash of Revell's Gunship Grey. Before the latter was completely dry I added some patches of thinned Revell Rust and Anthracite - these sort of bloomed into the thinned grey. It was all very thinned and built up slowly.

Hope that's of some use.

Kind regards,

Stix

I used the word 'stunning' earlier on in the thread Stix but it's doesn't seem enough now.

I believe MAGNIFICENT would now be more appropriate :coolio::thumbsup::coolio::thumbsup:

Cheers

Nigel
