1/10 Bust - Templar Knight in Jerusalem, Young Miniatures

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody; here's my second figure for the year, and only my second bust ever. It's the beautifully sculpted Templar Knight in Jerusalem, from Young Miniatures. It is obviously inspired to Sir Sean Connery (I have a still of "The name of the rose" in which he has exactly the same expression - used for reference when painting his face), I hope I didn't ruin the sculpt too much with my painting.

There's an extensive WIP thread here , for anyone who's interested in.

Here are the pics:

I'm not entirely happy with those pics, I need to take at least a better one frontally.

Comments are more than welcome.

So what's next mate?

I'm doing an aircraft, a Bf109 G6 (see my signature for the link); next figure is probabile going to be a viking in 75 mm, but there's another aircraft project in the modale

My first thought (before reading) was: The templar is Sean Connery, but when did he play a templar?!

Fantastic work.

, he never did, in fact. But the pose is blatantly taken from a "Name of the Rose" shot, while the dress up is very similar to the one he wore in "The wind and the lion"
