carloscarneiro
Good afternoon to all This is my first post here, i am a modeller from Portugal and i like the between wars period. The famous Dh-88 comet, named Black Magic flew also with portuguese markings and i decide to build one, well at that time, more then 3 years ago, the most available for me was the old 1/72 scale airfix model, so a start the assembly, as you all know this is a very old mold and i start by making a new cockpit, at that time i found a cockpit and canopy from Whirlybird but i did not like the detail.
carloscarneiro
here some photos from the start some years ago that i post in a model forum, until now i have made also some home made photoetched details for the cockpit, used the seats from another kit and also used the whirlybird canopy.

carloscarneiro
By now it has been released from SBS Models, in my view a much better detailed comet and so i bought it and my first thought was to throw this old kit in the trash can, but since it has given me a fight i thought again and decided to finish it, and now as a Black Magic. I apologize for the quality of some pictures
carloscarneiro
and this is the way it looks right now, saved from the trash can and ready to restart i have used miliput to model some parts and scratchbuilt some surfaces, as you can see i will have huge gaps to fill
