plasmahal Posted November 28, 2015 Author Share Posted November 28, 2015 Base and Final Touches I wanted the base to be in keeping with the weathered and grimy look of the Y-wing. After masking off the wooden portion of the base, I cleaned and primed the resin. I then applied a base coat of nato black XF-69. I masked some of the union flag design and the sparayed white XF-2. Those areas were masked off and then the centre of the flag design and letters were painted with GW machurius solar orange. This was sealed with a clear coat and the a black clay wash applied. Once dry, this was cleaned off and the base sealed with a satin coat and unmasked.
