AndyC Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Hi all This is Parc models little coastal sub. The Shchuka Type X - for the size of kit it was a lot of work! Flash and ill-fitting parts and some missing completely. It only cost £4 on eBay so that eased the pain a little. The railings round the forward gun are from 0.3mm N/S wire. There should be some rigging stays on the decking and there was some substantial rigging on these boats but it's so small, I didn't bother. I've included a shot with it next to a DKM Type iX - it's much smaller. Finished as boat Nr. 130 of the Pacific fleet. These were less successful in the Black Sea and Northern fleets and a lot were sunk. Nice to have one in the collection. The cyrillic numbers were bought on a sheet of the internet and the flags are hand made. Finished in Tamiya paints and the white line is 1/16 Microdecal strip - the anchor has been painted since the pics were taken! And the brass screws too!
