MetroRacing
Well time for an update. I wanted to have this kit done by now but something received more attention last weekend. Namely this: First UK meet for Volvo 480's. Not a big turn out, plus one's actually a BMW but its a start lol Anyway onto tonights post. Body is fully complete save a few bits of detail painting and the mesh for the grill's. Would you believe I had to take the body back off cos I forgot about it I'm not massively happy with the finished body. There was still I little moisture under the decals in the corners and creases that's caused the decal to peel back on itself when the clear coat was applied showing more white off. Then when fitting the glass I discovered that the roof was flattened ever so slightly, requiring a little more pressure and glue to try and use the shape of the clear to correct the roof. As a result there are a couple tiny marks and a little glue seepage on one window. 1 thing I have done with the future in mind is to decal it in a mid rally scheme, so when my weathering skills are better I can add some dirt to cover up a lot of sins Gladly the wheels are a lot better Finishing post is in sight lol TTFN Edited September 7, 2015 by MetroRacing

MetroRacing
Thanks. It does look good from a distance so in the cabinet of smugness it will look good haha
MetroRacing
Ok so she's finished. (Very, very nearly) Painted the skid plates satin black. In the future when I'm a lot better at complex shapes I will add Kevlar decals to them. And with that and the mesh for the grills added to the shell (always nice when you have to cut it into nice simple rectangles haha) She's complete: Just got to touch up the black on the mud guards and paint the antenna and it can sit proudly on the shelf and/or in the cupboard of smugness. Much appreciated. TTFN Ashley Edited September 8, 2015 by MetroRacing
