Flankerman
Is that a new mould - or a re-pop of the ICM kit ??? I did mine (the ICM kit) - as the 'Aviamatk-PVO' - with FIVE fighters attached......... Ken
Learstang
I remember that one Ken - pretty amazing build. Especially the Grigorevich fighter - now that's obscure! Looking at the number of ribs attaching to the wing spars in that illustration, I'll bet it's a rebrand of the ICM kit. I know the ICM kit has a reputation going from difficult to build to impossible to build, but that's one kit I dearly need for my Eastern Front collection. I just hope its price isn't as ridiculous as you often see the old ICM kit going for on eBay. It is nice to see them doing different versions - I'd love to see them do the late version with the single main wheels and the tail turret. Sgt.Squarehead
I thought ICM had rereleased their TB-3 kits quite recently.
Learstang
I don't think they have, Sgt. I wish they would - difficult or not, it's the only game in town for an IM 1/72nd scale TB-3 (or was, with the imminent release of this Mars Models kit). I'd love to do one with the two big turrets on the aft fuselage. That would have to be a conversion, of course. Regards, Jason

JWM
There were much different variants of TB-3 (ANT-6) then G-2 from box. The new kit looks to be more or less of the same variant (only with closed canopy and removed guns) like previous ICM one, unfortunately. Some nice photos of TB3, also of other variants are here: http://www.dieselpunks.org/profiles/blogs/s-a-m-17-tough-tupolev

Learstang
Very interesting - the boxart has two of the aircraft equipped with the two MV-3 turrets. A definite must-buy when it's released. Regards, Jason
Madoc
A clear styrene nose. Very smart! That way there's no problem fitting separate windows into a corrugated surface and risking losing the details. Clever engineering, that. Assembling the wings looks fiddly though.
