modelling minion Posted September 30, 2015 Share Posted September 30, 2015 The very fact that you worry about being a parent means that you will be a good parent. I went through exactly the same thing with my son, I was scared stiff about what to do and yes I've made mistakes, everybody does, but it's about learning from them and moving on. I also brought my son up on Star Wars and classic war films and building models, he is now 20 (frightening how quickly that time went!) studying for a degree at university and in the Naval Reserve so it can't be too bad a formula! And yes you will be surprised how much the need to protect kicks in, and very strongly. You will be fine I am sure, and I hope he turns up soon for you.
